I recently enjoyed a rejuvenating stay at Casa Tío Peguero Piscina Spa Villa in San Bartolome de Pinares, and it was a refreshing getaway from the hustle of London. The tranquil environment truly allows you to unwind, especially with the lovely indoor swimming pool and relaxing jacuzzi at your disposal. While the village might seem a tad remote, it adds to the charm, providing a peaceful backdrop for my family and me. Our host was attentive, even sharing a bottle of his own wine—an unexpected treat for a former food critic like me. We spent leisurely hours by the seasonal outdoor pool, and the terrace offered stunning views of the mountains, perfect for relaxation. Though the local market was limited, it sufficed for our short stay. All in all, I found it to be a delightful retreat, and I’d be open to a return visit for another slice of peace.
